The Gymbakids structure program

Classes are ran in a term structure, once a week for 10 weeks. Each class runs for 50 minuites.

Class structure:

Warming up
Limbering up children and help them to become aware of their bodies.

Action songs and rhymes
Build confidence in self expression and aid language development teaching children particular movement patterns and concepts.

Manipulative and innovative equipment
The children along with their caregivers use a variety of manipulative equipment assisting with skill development, co-ordination and development of gross and fine motor skills. This time together encourages social interaction and helps develop listening skills.

Circuit / movement station play
The circuit area will include a variety of modified gymnastic apparatus and manipulative equipment and is the most anticipated part of the lesson. The circuit is where children can practice and build on activities learnt from earlier in the session. For example, mats, climbing apparatus, tunnels, blance beams, hoops, balls and bean bags. The equipment is varied to offer new challenges and experiences each week.

Warm down
Gives children the chance to say goodbye, understand that the session is over and that they will come back next week.
